Biography
Salar Alam, MD is a board-certified nephrologist. He earned his medical degree from Aga Khan University; completed his residency in internal medicine at Corewell Health Grand Rapids; and specialized further by achieving a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Michigan.
At Lake Michigan Nephrology, Dr. Alam manages complex kidney-related conditions, with a focus on chronic kidney disease (CKD), hypertension, kidney stones, and glomerulonephritis. He serves as associate faculty at Corewell Health Lakeland and is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology and the Renal Physicians Association. Dr. Alam is fluent in Urdu and Punjabi.
